Job Description:

MGS Mfg. Group has an exciting opportunity for a Metrology Systems Coordinator located at our Germantown, WI molding facility. The Metrology Systems Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the gage calibration program, maintaining the certifications of the clean rooms, and managing retained product samples.

Below are the essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Know and follow all Company safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as a good role model to employees for safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Metrology Systems Requirements

  • Develop and maintain "Lab Scope" documentation
  • Utilize gage tracking software
  • Manage the ordering and control of new gages
  • Schedule gages for calibration - either internally or externally
  • Record calibration results
  • Maintain the status of gages (new, active, archived, obsolete, etc)
  • Perform internal calibrations using master standards
  • Define, review, and approve work performed by outside services
  • Maintain identification and calibration labels on gages
  • Store calibration certificates
  • Notify management and take appropriate action if a gage is found to be non-conforming
  • Maintain contents of the Kardex units
  • Maintain monthly equipment qualification logs

Clean Room Requirements

  • Monitor and document pressure, temperature, and humidity in the clean rooms
  • Perform Nonviable and Viable testing in clean rooms - maintain data and charts
  • Maintain annual clean room certifications
  • Ensure cleaning is performed per schedule and that cleaning records are maintained
  • Manage the pest control program (outside service)

Other Duties

  • Track revisions of external standards (documents) and update as needed
  • Perform Layered Process Audits
  • Order supplies needed for the QA lab and clean rooms
  • Manage inventory of Metrology project parts
  • Any other duties as assigned.


Experience and Skills:

A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent is required
  • Technical education, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree is helpful
  • Five to seven years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
