Job Description:

MGS Mfg. Group has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Business Development Manager within our Equipment Division at our facility in Germantown, WI.

MGS is an engineering house, a toolmaker, an injection molder, a blow molder, and a custom machine builder. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships with new and existing customers for the Equipment Division (Automation & UMS).  This position will report directly to the Vice President of the Equipment Group but is also expected to report into and collaborate with the greater corporate sales team within MGS.

 As the Business Development Manager, you will..

  • Grow top line sales by identifying new business opportunities and closing sales with both new and existing MGS customers for our equipment division.
  • Develop a technical understanding of the MGS Equipment offerings to sufficiently communicate our products and capabilities and present proposals in response to customer RFQs.
  • Work with existing MGS BDMs to secure MGS Equipment sales with their existing customers.
  • Become the MGS expert regarding industry trends and competitive offerings in automated assembly and specialty molding equipment.
  • Define the MGS Equipment value proposition and position us appropriately.
  • Create and support a tradeshow strategy including attending and exhibiting both independently of and in conjunction with the other MGS divisions.
  • Maintain consistent sales growth by maintaining existing accounts and continually identifying & developing new sales opportunities within those accounts.
  • Prepare and present sales presentations that effectively demonstrate the value of MGS.
  • Track and report progress on identification and penetration of all opportunities.
  • Prepare an annual business development plan.
  • Participate in MGS sales meetings and functions.

Experience and Skills:

This might be the job for you if you have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required and a Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive sales experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience providing sales growth in automation and/or molding equipment sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact in technical discussions regarding automation and/or molding equipment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to travel both domestically and internationally will be required for customer visits, entertainment, and industry events (approximately 50-75%)
