Job Description:

As part of the MGS Group of Companies, MGS Germantown Division is looking for a Master Scheduler located in Germantown, WI. The Master Scheduler is responsible for analyzing customer requirements, creating the master schedule, running production meetings, scheduling production processes and managing capacity.

Below are the essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the sales and operations planning process by analyzing customer forecasts and developing the master production plan using rough cut capacity analysis.
  • Reviews press capacity to proactively identify bottlenecks and drive the required resolution.
  • Run daily production meetings by preparing a current hit list and optimized production schedule.
  • Creates daily priority lists for production presses and set ups.
  • Collaborates with the customer service, accounting, quality, operations, shipping, receiving, engineering, purchasing, and program management to meet business objectives.
  • Develops safety stock levels and manages production to achieve targeted on-time delivery and inventory turns.
  • Ensure system planning parameters are maintained for accurate MRP signals.
  • Monitors actual output versus the production schedule. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including metrics on production performance to the planned production schedule.
  • Works with outside suppliers as necessary for secondary operations.
  • Expedites raw materials when required to avoid production interruptions.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established operating procedures and standards of ethical conduct.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Three + years of previous scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • APICS CPIM certification is a plus.
  • Must be detail- orientated, organized, a self-starter, able to work well with others, and take direction.
