Job Description:

At MGS Mfg. Group, we are an engineering house, a toolmaker, a blow molder, an injection molder, and a custom machine builder all under one company. As part of the MGS Group of Companies, MGS Germantown Division is looking for a Quality Manager located in Germantown, WI. The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the production quality area.

Below are the essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Monitor effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Recommend system enhancements and lead continuous improvement efforts towards better results and reduced costs.
  • Assure consistent understanding and application of quality methods and systems.
  • Lead resolution of customer complaints.
  • Prepare for audits and support resolution of audit issues.
  • Use the quality system to provide reports to ensure understanding of status of quality initiatives and results.
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Quality planning and monitoring of short and long term requirements.
  • Oversee preparation of operational schedules to ensure quality of products meets specifications.
  • Train / instruct / develop Quality Department members.
  • Develop staff with focus on both professional and personal development.
  • Develop and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Develop customer and supplier relationships.
  • Management Representative designee for the Quality Management System (QMS) and all associated functions.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science/engineering related field and 5-7 years of management experience, or combination of accrued on-the-job experience and training.
  • Leadership/mentoring skills.
  • Experience working with customers and customer focused.
  • Medical experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving skills and facilitator.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a situation under pressure.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and data analysis.
  • QS/ISO experience.
  • Qualification experience.
