Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at our Antioch, IL location. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in ensuring a safe and profitable working environment by maintaining the building, grounds, and equipment.

Below are the essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Follow preventative maintenance plan for equipment on a weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual schedule, or as assigned.
  • Complete maintenance issues as they arise according to priority, and complete necessary documentation for each assignment.
  • Resolve auxiliary equipment issues as they arise.
  • Responsible for ensuring all safety equipment is functional.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Assist with ice and snow removal form building entrance/exits and dock area as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.
  • Observe and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection molding.
  • Understanding of basic hydraulic and electrical systems along with proper safety issues.
  • Understanding of electrical prints.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Requires knowledge of mechanics and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and become forklift certified.
  • Ability to become lockout/tagout certified
