The Process Engineer is responsible for the upkeep of equipment and processes to ensure product consistently meets the customer’s quality requirements.

As a Process Engineer you will:

  • Performs tool qualifications.
  • Aid in the development of plastic processing project instructions to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem, and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of materials or pats, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies.
  • Devise and recommend new or modified components of plastic injection molding machinery.
  • Conduct tests such as process window studies and design of experiments of plastic injection molding processes to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
  • Analyze indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specification.
  • Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in process, product, or test method.
  • Identify and records any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.

Experience and Skills:

A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program, or a four-year university program, in a related field of study is preferred.
  • 3 + years of experience of plastics injection molding experience.
  • Working knowledge of injection molding processes.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Mechanical skills.
