Job Description:

MGS Mfg. Group has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, 3rd shift (10:45pm-7:15am M-F), Setup Technician at our facility in Antioch, Illinois.

The Set-Up Technician is responsible for set-ups and cycle molds

As the Set-Up Technician, you will...

  • Review production schedule on a daily basis.
  • Set-up molds, robots, auxiliary equipment, etc. in order to ensure press is ready for start-up.
  • Perform daily/weekly machine and equipment maintenance as assigned.
  • Complete proper shut-down of machinery and tool pulls when production run is complete.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Answer machine alarms as needed.
  • Resolve water line malfunctions when needed.
  • Assist with start-ups as needed.
  • Clean machines, floors, and other areas as needed.
  • Observe and adhere to all company policies and procedures

Experience and Skills:

A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in the injection molding industry.
  • Possesses good math, verbal communication and mechanical skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings relating to plastic injection molding.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and become forklift certified.
  • Ability to become lockout/tagout certified.
  • Good understand and ability to perform tasks and create documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform advanced mathematical functions using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in both the English and Metric system required
